Började konferensen med en förmiddag i EU-parlamentet och EU:s vicepresident inledde. Det var väldigt flott men lite konstigt när servitörerna kom in med kaffe mitt i föredragen... lite svårt med koncentrationen i lokalen ett tag där! Sedan fortsatte konferensen på universitetet med både spännande och lite sömnframkallande föredrag. Åt en god och mättande middag. Precis när vi ätit klart började det lukta väldigt illa (som hundbajs) i restaurangen. Vi lokaliserade lukten till ett par som åt musslor! Vi hade inte kunnat stanna kvar och flera gick. Undrar hur de mår imorgon – fattar inte att de kunde äta det!!!??? Imorgon är det dags för vår posterpresentation och på kvällen blir det galamiddag! Ska se om jag kan få till att börja dagen med en morgonrunda – verkar lite svårt att springa här, så vi får väl se hur det går...
Started the conference at the EU-parliament and the vice president held the opening speech. It was very fancy but a bit strange when waiters started serving coffee in the middle of the lecture... Then the conference moved to the university with both interesting and boring talks. Had a good dinner and right after we were finished it started to smell very bad (like dog droppings) in the restaurant. We localized the smell to a couple eating clams. I wonder how they will feel tomorrow? Can't understand that they could eat that!!!??? Tomorrow it's time for our poster presentation and in the evening it's a gala dinner! I'll try to start the day with a morning run – it seems a bit hard to run here so we'll see how it goes...
